NANCY
She is my love. She is my life.
That's why I took her for my wife.
When I see her standing there,
The world is mine. I have no care.
The day we met, my life was changed,
And, for the best, was rearranged.
Now she has fulfilled a dream;
And bore my son; I am redeemed.
So, on and on, I'll love her so.
Though it's true depths, she'll never know.
Life will be a stage for us,
To act and play on; live and trust.
For always I will hold her near.
"I'll never stray away, my dear."
"And when the final scene is done,
We'll live again; we'll live as one;
Nancy, my lover, and Donny, my son."

This is an oldie, but a goody. Don
ReplyDeletea lovely ode to your wife and son......and I'm sure she feels much the same about you......sometimes we have to write what our words cannot say.......
ReplyDeleteThank you, josie2. I appreciate your remarks. I wrote this before my daughter was born; actually I wrote it on the day that my son was born. It is my best avenue for letting out emotion.
