Pastures of the Sun

Little Powers

Little powers, oh so simple,
Little powers, so complex,
Little powers with your pointed tongue,
Little powers with your vex,
Interrupt the easy flow,
Cause a little pain.
Little powers with your discontent,
What have you, here, to gain?
If you're the minus to the plus,
The plus is well concealed.
Yet, the pain is real as night and day.
Little powers will not yield!

  1. This primarily addresses pettiness; the little hurtful things that are said, intentional or not, that damage friendships and relationships. Don

  3. Hi, Don. We have the power to let these "little powers" go.
Pettiness is like chickens pecking at one another. Serves no purpose. I call them "little power plays." A need to be in control by controlling others. Guess what? It don't work, only hurts and pushes people away. Many people are very uncomfortable with closeness to others. Intimacy is very threatening. Take one step at a time to allow others to be your friend. I'm glad you're my friend, Don.

  4. Hostility, pettiness, resentment, anger .. Unfortunately, commonly found. The need to control the other person ... comes from the fact that we see others as separate from us and do not notice their good sides, and their shortcomings .. But they are a reflection of our own. They are our mirror. And instead we of trying to change myself, we are trying to change others. But this can not happen. Anyone can change only themselves. And we as changing themselves, change the circumstances around us.
Everything is within us! Only have to to become conscious it.
We must not criticize. Only when we see ourselves in the other, then we would not have acted in this MANNER . We would thought for a while. Because what we do to others, we do to ourselves it.
One must turn to yourself, in silence, to hear yourself.. To feel the unity of all things ..
And to leave others to experience their own experience, which they are chosen itself . This mean let be himself.
Let us we not nurture anger and insults. Let us we not succumb to bad thoughts. Beauty is in everything around. Let us choose happiness .. This depends solely and exclusively together by us. Happiness is within us. We just have to find itself.

    1. This is excellent Borjana. Your words say more than the poem itself. Wonderful.

  5. The positive emotions build, negative emotions crumble. We're the these, who decide how to feel and it has nothing to do with the man against us.
External circumstances can not make us happy. They are changing and thus we for galloping from one thing to another. But this will not bring us happiness. The question is how we see things around us, our perspective on things. Be happy friends!

  6. You are exactly right, Borjana. There is deeper meaning to the poem than the words express. You are smart enough to get that. Thank you for your comment. I greatly appreciate it. Don
