Sunrise says "high", to the morning sky.
Warmth nestles in; each beam does begin.
The living energy, overnight hid,
Slowly lifts above the lid...
The lid of darkness, of midnight's lair,
The lid of looming dark despair.
Life; it starts anew, again,
As daylight pierces like a pin.
Mother Sun; she smiles above,
Casting down her seeds of love.
Darkness flees and huddles deep,
As daylight makes the final leap.
Roosters crow and insects stir.
Cattle rustle and kittens purr.
Soon the chirping birds come out,
And fly and sing and flit about.
Inside, homes begin to light,
And daily plans come into sight.
Coffee brews and babies cry,
As Mother Sun; she fills the sky.
Sunrise makes the world complete.
The daily world gets on it's feet.
Soon, we all stretch out the kinks.
We warm our muscles; stretch and think.
Yes, Mother Sun; she greets us All.
Her children wake up - large and small.
She sings a song to start our day.
She warms the Earth with every ray.
Sunrise greets a brand new Day!!!

ReplyDeleteSo, that's what the sun does at sunrise. It sings us a song for our new day. You know how much I love sunrise.

Thank you both; Jo and Frank. Your opinion means everything to me. Thank you.
DeleteDon, you have a gift with words. A great description of how life begins at sunrise. Sunrise is my favorite part of the day.
